The team of doctors relayed good news about his health condition.
According to the doctors, the former member of Poison has been released from the Phoenix neurosurgery, the place of his recovery.
The Chief of Cerebrovascular Surgery, Dr. Joseph Zabramski, said that the rocker is able to walk and talk and is expected to make a full recovery.
“I really expect that he will fortunately make a 100% recovery … He’s just one of those lucky people, the 20% or so who have a subarachnoid hemorrhage who make a complete recovery and are able to resume all of their normal activities.”
The rocker’s medical team still doesn’t know what caused Michael’s bleeding. According to Dr. Zabramski, “Patients who don’t have anything identified in their angiograms tend to do well”. He added that his care is one of those rare instances in medicine ” where we’re actually pleased not to be able to find what caused the problem.”
It takes another 7 to 10 days for Michaels’ body to dissolve the blood clot around his brain, a process which is quite painful.
Steroids can not be used to Bret Michaels to help severe back pain during the recovery process since he is a diabetic. This could cause his glucose to go out of control.
